Safe & Sound
We pride ourselves on delivering security and peace of mind to every commercial and personal customer in all interactions and transactions. First National Bank of Michigan also provides a number of resources and tips to help you keep security in mind. The FNBM Security Center provides information on a multitude of fraud and scam topics to keep you up-to-date on your cyber security.
Basic Online Security
Online Privacy and Security is the federal government’s website to help you be safe, secure, and responsible online.
Get Safe Online is a helpful resource for practical advice on how to protect yourself and your computer, mobile device, and business against fraud, identity theft, viruses, and many other problems encountered online.
The Federal Trade Commission’s identity theft page describes how to avoid identity theft by keeping your personal information secure.
Sending an unprotected email is like sending a postcard. Anyone with the right tools can see an unprotected email message.
If you don’t know how to send an encrypted email, you should use alternatives for your confidential information. Alternatives include faxes, U.S. mail, or hand delivery.
Lost or Stolen ATM, Debit & Credit Cards
If your ATM or debit card has been lost or stolen, please call one of our branches. If it is after branch hours or on a weekend or holiday, please call 800.472.3272 to report your card lost or stolen.
If you will be traveling with your debit or ATM card, please inform your banking representative. An alert will be put on your account, preventing fraud protection from blocking your card due to an atypical transaction location.
If your First National Bank of Michigan Visa card is lost or stolen, or to dispute a credit card charge, please call our 24-hour Cardmember Services at 866.234.4691.
