2020 was a year of tremendous insight. Racial and socio-economic disparities were magnified by an out-of-control pandemic. Despite the pandemic, the Metropolitan Kalamazoo Branch of the NAACP continued to work with local organizations to fight for equality and justice for all residents in the greater Kalamazoo area. Work continue to protect:

• Workers rights that ultimately help businesses retain staff and ensure productivity
• Families seeking affordable, quality housing opportunities
• Our children’s education which guarantees their world-readiness and
• Our youth as they pursue humanities, math, science, and the arts through our Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) competition.
