FNBM Team Lends a Hand at Home Repair Services in Grand Rapids
July 17, 2025
On May 6th, First National Bank of Michigan team members rolled up their sleeves and got to work during a day of volunteering with Home Repair Services in Grand Rapids. Volunteers participated in both morning and afternoon shifts, offering their time and talents to support the organization’s mission: strengthening vulnerable Kent County homeowners—because strong homeowners build strong communities.
FNBM volunteers included Dustin Hopkins, Clark Rowley, Charles Slauer, Shaunna Padgett, Chris Williams, Rochelle Anderson, Linette Griteman, Kirstyn Monroe, Mike Hollander, Tanner Rose, Harrison Brown, and Deb Lang. Together, the group built cabinets and pitched in with office filing tasks, helping support the daily operations that make such a wide-reaching impact possible.
Home Repair Services provides a variety of programs to support local homeowners, including:
- Repair Program
- Access Modification Program
- Fix-It School
- Home Maintenance Check-Up Inspections
- Remodeling Together Program
- Housing Counseling & Financial Education
The organization focuses on equipping homeowners with tools, resources, and direct assistance to maintain safe, accessible, and affordable homes. By volunteering, FNBM team members contributed to the hands-on work that helps Kent County residents live more securely and independently in the homes they own.
Community service is a core value at First National Bank of Michigan, and we’re proud of our team for showing up with energy, skill, and heart. Events like these demonstrate the power of partnership and a shared commitment to building stronger communities—one project at a time.
