Kids’ Food Basket
September 2, 2022
Kids’ Food Basket helps nourish children living at or near the poverty level with critical evening meals to level the playing field for their academic achievement by providing Sack Suppers. This is a free, well-balanced evening meal full of nutritious food delivered to children so that they can perform their best. Sack Suppers are distributed within classrooms at the end of each school day and during summer programs too, meaning every child in need can get one easily and safely. Kids Food Basket serves children who attend schools where 70% or more of the student population receive free or reduced-cost lunch.
First National Bank of Michigan is proud to support Kids Food Basket and the 8,000 children at 47 schools in Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland that receive a nutritious Sack Supper each and every weekday.
