Kalamazoo, MI – September 9, 2025 – First National Bank of Michigan is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Mars to Market President in Kalamazoo.

Chris joined First National Bank of Michigan in March 2014 and has been leading the Kalamazoo Commercial Banking Group since April 2021. With more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking, Chris brings extensive knowledge and a strong commitment to supporting local businesses.

A graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Chris began his career in commercial banking in 1999 and has worked with businesses throughout Southwest Michigan as a commercial loan officer since 2002. His dedication to helping businesses grow is grounded in his belief in First National Bank of Michigan’s customer-first approach, supported by local decision-making.
