As a Treasury Management Relationship Manager, Chris is dedicated to helping businesses optimize cash flow and implement effective fraud mitigation strategies. Based in the Grand Rapids office, he supports clients across all FNBM markets, providing expert guidance on Treasury Management services to strengthen their financial operations.

Tim Hoekstra has returned to FNBM, reaffirming his passion for community banking and the advantages it brings to customers. With over 20 years of experience as a Commercial Banker—and a background as the CFO and owner of his family’s local business in Kalamazoo—Tim understands the unique needs of business owners. His firsthand experience and deep industry knowledge allow him to provide tailored financial solutions that help businesses thrive.

Eric French recently transitioned from managing the downtown Kalamazoo branch to serving as Branch Manager in Portage. With over 19 years of experience in retail and commercial banking, Eric brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his new role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Western Michigan University and is committed to providing exceptional service and financial solutions to the community.

David Gibbs was recently promoted to Branch Manager following Eric French’s transition to Portage. Since joining First National Bank of Michigan in early 2024 as Branch Operations Supervisor, David has showcased strong leadership and banking expertise. With 16 years of experience in various roles at another financial institution, he brings a well-rounded skill set and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to the downtown Kalamazoo branch and its customers.

Craig Bishop joined the Lansing Commercial Banking team in November 2024. With extensive experience and a proven track record of exceptional customer service, Craig is dedicated to building strong relationships and providing the best possible financial solutions his clients. Brian Clark was recently promoted to the Commercial Banking team in Kalamazoo after successfully leading the Portage Branch for six years. He brings strong leadership and banking expertise to his new role, backed by a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University and a Master of Business Administration from Cornerstone University.

Josh Schaendorf is new to the First National Bank of Michigan team, serving as a Senior Residential Loan Officer in the Holland market. With 16 years of experience in branch banking and the last seven years as a Mortgage Loan Officer in West Michigan, Josh brings extensive knowledge and a commitment to helping clients navigate the home financing process with confidence.

Kathy Jipping is the newest addition to First National Bank of Michigan. She is the new Branch Manager in Holland! With over 35 years of banking experience, including key roles at Huntington Bank, Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge in areas like private banking, branch management, and risk and compliance.
