Helping Hands: FNBM Volunteers Assist Child and Family Charities with Big Move

April 8, 2025

It was finally time to make the move for Child and Family Charities—and the First National Bank of Michigan team was there, ready to roll up their sleeves and help make it happen.

After years of operating out of multiple locations across Lansing, Child and Family Charities has consolidated all of its services into one central facility. In 2023, the organization purchased part of the old McLaren Hospital campus, aiming to bring their critical services under one roof. Following more than a year of renovations, the new space is now complete—and the time has come to make the big move.

Volunteers from First National Bank of Michigan stepped in to assist during this important transition. With positive energy and team spirit, the FNBM crew helped build shelves, take inventory of four kitchens, break down countless boxes, and tackle many other essential tasks. Their work played a key role in getting the new space ready for staff, volunteers, and the families who rely on the organization’s programs.

Child and Family Charities has a long history of supporting children, youth, and families through a range of services including foster care, counseling, adoption, and more. Now, with a centralized location, they’re positioned to serve the community more efficiently and effectively.

FNBM is proud to support the vital work of local nonprofits through hands-on volunteering and community involvement. Congratulations to Child and Family Charities on their new home!
